Restore single files?

Is there any way to select a single file to restore form a backup? I've run a restore job to a different location and I get all the data in the backup instead of just the file(s) in the search option.

You can't back up single files. You can back up the share and pick out the files you want to keep.

Hmm... so I have to restore an entire backup and pick out the files I want. Is that correct? Wow, so if I have say a 2 TB share I might not have enough free space to run a restore job.

Dear Tymish,

If you have multiple folders for that share, you can create a new share and copy that folder there, then restore the file. This should save alot of your time.
