Disks in ESX VM not supported?

hi, i am trialing VSS6 within a VM on ESX3i
i've chosen linux 64 bit as OS-type and i've given several disks to the VM.

boot up looks fine, but looking at the disks all of them are not supported.

any suggestions?

what are the targets configuration ?
did you use different lun #?

hmm ... my local disks seen by the VSS are not supported.
those are simple VM disks given to the VM be the ESX server.
LSI as well as buslogic driver (emulated) won't work, so it seems.

does anyone operate a VSS within a VM on ESX?
