advantage of multiprocessor and 64bit system architecture?

Hi.

Would anybody tell me about advantage of multiprocessor and 64bit system architecture?

I found that there are some boot options in DSS.

And the main options are concerning the following two things.

First, single processor and multiprocessor.

Second, 32bit or 64bit system.

Is the 64bit multiprocessor system best and fast?

64bit mode is for supporting more then 16TB per Logical Volume (only for DSS), not for speed. With 32bit mode you can have multiple 16TB Logical Volumes with added Storage License Keys - (4, 8, 16, 32 and 64TB).

Single - 1 CPU

Multi processor - 2 or more (Dual and Quad cores)

TESTING mode runs 2.6.20 kernel version

So, for speed you recommend 32bits of does it not matter?

Correct use 64bit if you plan to go beyond 16TB on a single Logical Volume.
