mail notification does not work

Hi.

I have a problem in e-mail notification.
I cannot receive any test message from DSS.

I made the settings as following.

Send test message : checked
E-mail: [my sending e-mail account]
Use authentication: checked
Account name: [my sending e-mail account]
Password: [my password]
SMTP Server: [my e-mail's SMTP server]
Destination e-mail: others checked [my receving e-mail account]

I tried 3 different SMTP server but I could not receive any test message.
I searched spam mail box in my server but there was no test message.
I tried DMZ enabled for my router but it was in vain.

Have you any suggestion for this?

Check DNS and try to use the ping utility from Console tools CRTL ALT T to ping your smtp server.

Thank you very much.

I checked DNS of internet service.
Then I configured DNS with Clt-Alt-N.
Finally, I got successful ping to my mail server!!!
