Hi!

Is it possible to make a full restore to an incremental backupstate in one step?

e.g.:
Monday -> Full Backup
Tuesday -> Incremental Backup
Wednesday-> Incremental Backup
Thursday -> Incremental Backup

Now I have to restore full file-condition till thursday (Mo+Tu+We+Th).

If I select all backup-tasks at the restore tab, I get 4 single files.

Is there a possibility to get full restore in one step.

Used DSS:
Model: Data Storage Server
Version: 1.30.DB00000000.2819
Release date: 2007-08-24
Licensed Storage Capacity: 16 TB

Thanks in advance!

You will have to restore Monday's -> Full Backup and thru Thursday's Incremental Backup
for a full restore.

Todd,

Are you sure about that? (This is not the usual way that incremental backups are handled)

I would have expected that restores of from all 4 backups would be required, in order to get a full restore.

Hi Todd!

If I start a restore task I get sparately files for each day in the destination share.

To complete the restore finally, I have to copy manual step by step one day after the other to the final restore folder, right?

1. Restored Monday file -> Final folder.
2. Restored Tuesday file -> Final folder.

After taking a look at your issue and replicating this on my own server here is what I have found. That restoring from your latest full backup then restoring your most recent incremental. From what I can see you should not need to restore all the incremental since your latest full backup, but rather only the latest incremental and latest full backups.
