As far as I remember I think its not possible yet.
Maybe anyone from support could verify this? Maybe it changed with the latest build.
@webguyz:
could you please give me a little feedback if you were able to rebuild the cluster without shutting down the VIP(s)? (with a little help from the support) ;)
E.g. if there were any...
@Gr-R:
Just a side question to this topic.
If I got (e.g.) more replication tasks, is it a problem to set every replication task to 600MB? (for initial replication)
Or should I give every task...
just to get sure I understood youre post correctly.
You used your're SSD as read cache or as write cache too? :)
Thats interesting. I wonder why the SSD became the bottleneck? Sure, one SSD could be a bottleneck if you copying or transferring big files compared to 6x600GB 6GBs disks.
But isn't it related to...
We made the tests with Adaptec H/W raid controller and a "lsi chip based" controller.
The failover triggered with both controllers when the h/w raid volume got status failed.
@Diesoftware:
We've tested these feature and removed (e.g) disk for disk in a raid5 system.
"Degraded" mode (removing one disk) doesn't trigger the failover. Only a failed/broken raid volume...
so just to know if this issue happens at other systems too.
How can we resolve this issue? Retype the license key without the "-"?
How often does this issue occur? Any expectations?
open-e support is too fast for me... ^^
What kind of hard disks and how many hard disks are you using? Which raid lvl? H/W Raid or S/W raid?
Some additional infos might be good for a us to see if youre performance is competitive.
How...
well i guess the previously eth4 was the onboard nic, right?
I think the system just saves the MAC addresses. If there is a new mac adress in the system it would configure the (new) interface with...
We had an issue with an USB DOM in the past. As G-R said, I would also recommend to save the configurations constant. We had no problems to switch the USB DOM and load the old configuration file.
...
just my two cents, cause you said should be treated...
indeed, I tested 2 Dssv6 with Infiniband and the interfaces are treated like another eth[x].
I tried also to replicate a volume between the...
I would recommend Qlogic FC HBA's. We made very good expierences regarding to performance, stability etc.
We used QLE2562.
you could also use the BIOS of the RAID controller (STRG+A at startup) to create the raid volume. After that, the "created" volumes should appear in the volume manager.
@derfux:
Did you suspend (stop) the failover on the secondary node, before shutdown? Cause there's the option to stop the failover on the secondary node. I just want to get sure that that might...
Maybe you have to "uncheck" the "checkbox" for replication of the logical volume?
I don't know exactly if that causes the troubles, but im sure that you have to uncheck the checkbox for replication...
@robotbeat:
for info: I asked the support, and he said it is possible to update from 4023 to 4622 with the .iso file.
@habicht:
do you mean the download of the log files? Well, I think that problem is related to you personally.
We tested several versions of DSS and we never got problems with downloading the log...
@habicht:
i tested it, and used e.g. version 4023 and downloaded it via the WEGBUI. The system downloaded vers. 4550! and not 4786 or 4622. little bit weired.
maybe open-e has to fix something in...
jap, that would be interesting. :)
thats indeed weired.
maybe not a solution, but did you take a look in the extended console tools?
CTRL+X -> and then point 14 or something else. I don't know how its called in english, maybe...
if you use an adaptec controller i would check the bios of the adaptec at the bootsequence that youre volume(s) are optimal.
If one of youre harddisks fails you can check that in the BIOS.
But...
np!
so, you're connected successfull with 8Gbit to the DSSv6?
