When disabling FTP under Configuration/NAS-Settings the result is:
Status/system shows for the Service: FTP State: OFF Status: INACTIVE
After enabling FTP again under Configuration/NAS-Settings the result is:
Status/system shows for the Service: FTP State: ON Status: FAILED
Same behaviour when rebooting the system after disabling FTP.
After continuing testing we have found out:
When disabling FTP on ALL shares the FTP-service could be started and the result is:
Status/system shows for the Service: FTP State: ON Status: ACTIVE
Enabling FTP on one or more share in "Anonymous mode" results in:
Status/system shows for the Service: FTP State: ON Status: ACTIVE
The moment FTP is enabled on one or more share(s) with "Users with password" the result is:
Status/system shows for the Service: FTP State: ON Status: FAILED
It seems that FTP works in "Anonymous mode" but not with "Users with password".
Allowing FTP access in "Anonymous mode" is not an option for us.
All shares can be accessed all times through SMB with the option "Users with password" enabled without problems.
No, so far we didn't opened a support ticket on this issue.
Thanks,
Andreas
