    Default DSS V5 - 64bit boot problem

    Hello,

we are using DSS 5.0.DB49000000.3278 with an 8TB license. I booted the system manually in 64bit and selected in the console under boot options 64bit. If i reboot, the system boots in 32bit mode (Vol Manager say NOT SUPPORTED, 64 BIT). If i look in the console, the 64bit option is there selected.

How to boot the system automatically in 64bit mode?

Just checking here on the steps did you save the settings after selecting the 64bit option. If so then send in the logs so we can see what is going on. This is the first I have heard of the this for DSS.

Save: When i call the boot menu, there is already 64bit selected. Then i press apply while it is still selected.

Logs: Ok, how to clear out the clear text passwords from the logfiles?

Just go to the GUI in Status > Hardware > Logs then click the download button. It will take a few min.

I already downloaded the log files, but how to erease automatically all clear text passwords from the log files?

Why are there clear text passwords in the logfiles?

Any way you can show a screen shot of this as you should be able to just view them without any password.

Ok, the boot problem is solved. I changed to 32bit multi core, saved this, rebooted and changed back to 64bit multi and rebooted.
