    Default Undelete

The company I'm working for has a 6,4 TB array. A few days ago someone accidentally deleted one single 8 GB mpeg file that I need to recover. We are quite sure that no further write operations were done after the deletion. It's a RAID-5 hardware array on an Areca arc-1220 controller. What can I use to "undelete" the file?

Try this, go to the Extended tool from the Console screen and then select the option to "Restore LVM VG (Volume Group) configuration.
    All the best,

Is this safe for the data that is already on the array?

Unless you have a backup or the data is replicated or you have a snapshot that was scheduled then there is no other way.
