Default Unable to access shares from network

    Hi and sorry for English.

    I have a aome issues with NAS-R3 Version: 5.0.NE46000000.3088
    Licensed Storage Capacity: 8 TB

I can no longer access the network share.
I can log-in in Open-E NAS-R3 administration and see the created Shares,
but these are not visible on the network.
I can no longer delete the existing shares or create new shares.

Seems that it is not possible to write the new configurations on
    USB flash module.

I downloaded the demo version and installed on USB Key.
With the Demo I can create and delete Shares and changes are saved.
I can view Shares on the network.

It's a USB flash module Failure?
How I can Resolve this problem?

    Thanks for Help

    Best Regards
    Nanni

It is possible the flash module is failing.

You can try and run the repair file system function from console, in an attempt to correct it. But it may simply need to be replaced.

    Hi and thanks for reply

If I run the repair file system function from console,
I could have a loss of the data contained in the raid ?

I see that the logical volume must be unmounted.
Can this cause data loss in raid?

    Thanks for Help

It's important to do the RAID health check and make sure that the RAID is 100% healthy before running the file system repair. You shouldn’t run it when the RAID is rebuilding because there is a high risk of data loose.
If the file system is corrupted on the system volume or on the NAS logical volume, it won't be mounted. That's why the file system needs to be repaired. If the file system is badly destroyed there is a risk that data can be lost.
But in your situation most probably the DOM became corrupted and it needs to be replaced. It sometimes happens especially with the old DOMs.

Logging in the Open-E web interface I can see Raid Status OK and I can see
my file and folder in raid disk.

I downloaded the demo version and installed on USB Key.
With the Demo I can see the new share created and my file and folder are intact.

Can I use the repair file system function in these conditions,
without causing data loss in raid?

If NAS logical volume (Lv0) is unmounted, I lose data on raid?

Can I backup my configuration using the USB Demo and restore it later
if I have problems with DOM?

    Thanks for Help

make sure the RAID is in good working condition.

Can I use the repair file system function in these conditions,
without causing data loss in raid?
    Yes.

If NAS logical volume (Lv0) is unmounted, I lose data on raid?
    No.

Can I backup my configuration using the USB Demo and restore it later
if I have problems with DOM?
Yes, if the system you are restoring to is the same version or newer.
