    Default installation Open-E as a virtual machine on a VMware host

    Hi all, is what some description of the installation of open-e at the vmvare host to a virtual machine. It is necessary for testing. I have another question whether the free version of the work in the cluster.

    The Lite version will not work in a failover configuration.

    Define/clarify what you mean by "work in the cluster".

    Do you mean, the VM can run as part of a VMWare HA cluster? Yes.

    Do you mean, the open-e Lite can host storage in open-e active/passive cluster? No. (as Gr-R replied)

    Do you mean, the VM can host storage which is available as part of a separate VMWare HA cluster? Yes.

    Do you mean, the VM can host storage for VMs which as part of the same VMWare HA cluster? NO!

    Do you mean, the VM can host storage which is available as part of a VMWare HA cluster? Yes.
