    Default Built-in Tape Backup system

    Hi,

    What format does the in-built tape backup application use in DSS.
    ie. TAR?

    I need to be able to backup a volume to tape and transport to another unix server and restore.

    You can use backula software to restore the data from tape - but tape rescan is needed.
