Default Memory Caching and 64bit support Questions

How much perforamance increase does the open-e software utilize with additional system memory or will it base the performance more in the RAID cards cache?

I ask because we have evaluated DataCore, there software will utilize about 80% of system memory to increase performance and I wonder Open-e is designed to utilize the memory on the server for the same type of performance increases.

Is open-e 64bit or 32 bit linux, I ask trying to understand if 64 bit processors would benefit?

Open-E support 32bit and 64bit both Single and SMP , you can change the booting kernel with command line utility , please take into consideration that replication doesn't work between 32 and 64 bit you need to be either full 32bit or full 64bit , about memory I would like that Open-E give some info about this because during my test I could not get better performance with memory over 2GB ( I tested up to 5GB )
