    Question W8K Cluster

    Hello,
    i want to set up a Window Enterprise 2008 2-Node-Cluster. The Quorum/Witness-Disk is on a DSS-V6.

The Windows cluster validation reports the following error:

"Storage does not support SCSI page 83h VPD descriptors for cluster disc X"

    Can you help me?

    Thanks
    Jens

I also want to use V6 for Win2008-Cluster in near future ... Has anyone successfully finished the cluster validation? Is it official supported?
    regards,
    Lukas

Default Windows 2008 Cluster failed Persistent SCSI

    Hello,

I have the same problem as Jens. I use W2008R2 though.
Open-E website says it is supported, but it just doesn't work.

I have sent logfiles to support today, hope they figure out why.

    Thanks
    Stefan

I hope you fix this issue, because we just sent our customer who uses win2008 one of the open-e boxes.

YES, please fix it soon, we're waiting for Win2k8 support for over 10 months ... our new hardware (2 Win cluster nodes and 2 DSS boxes) are growing old ...
    regards,
    Lukas

I just spoke to techsupport in Germany.
I have sent the logs earlier this week.

The support person told me not to create 'bond' interfaces but connect to the iSCSI directory on the Fysical interface something like eth0. Those are the interfaces where the default IP numbers are on like: 192.168.0.220 and 192.168.1.220

I have not tested it yet, but perhaps it will help someone else.

I will probably test it tonight, the result will be posted here.

    Good luck.
    Stefan

    No luck so far.

Still get the VPD failure in the validate.

Hope it will work very soon.
