Is anyone else using an Areca 1680 SAS card? I'm using the 1680ix-24 inside of a Supermicro SC933 EL2 chassis with 15 SATA-II Seagate Enterprise drives. The card has 2GB of cache. The open-E box itself has a dual core 3GhZ proc and 2GB of ram
Hdparm -tT in tests.log shows less than 400MB per second. In my windows tests, I could easly get 1200MB sequential read and write. This card does not seem to perform well in Linux environments...
Any thoughts?
