System corroupted

Hello All,

We got system corroupted on one of our DSS server. So I tried putting same version and new version on new USB stick. I can able to start the DSS and can able to see volumnes but I cannot able to create targets. When I try to create target, it doesn’t give any error and it is not creating any targets also. I need the data from that DSS server. Can someone guide me to create targets and why it is not creating?

We are going to need more information like was this a DSS V5 and are you using the DSS V6 now. Also did you save your settings from the past and can you load them to restore your settings. Is this on a RAID controller and if so check the RAID health. Any errors from the event viewer and did you send in logs to support.

do not create new targets!!

did you try to reload settings, Open-e auto saves settings when it reboots

once you reload settings, you should see the targets and data you had before the system corruption.
