Backup directly to Open-E from Windows share

Hi all,

I can’t figure it out, but it has to be simple. Backing up data from a Windows share directly to Open-E V6..

I have to backup 2.5TB in a Celerra EMC. I have installed Open-E DSS V6 and created an iSCSI target pointing to a Windows 2003 server, that has a share to the data I want to backup. But after 2 days, only 600g was done. Windows does not perform very well whit all those tiny files.

Now I want to backup directly to my Open-E server. But how can I connect to the share on the Celerra EMC directly from Open-E? If I want to backup using ‘backup device’ I can only select local shares existing on Open-E itself.

I’m I overlooking something?
