WAN Replication & vsphere

Hello there...

is there any experience out there? I have to following situation:

one main location with 1 open-dss server as a (ISCSI) target for 3 vsphere hosts. All VMs are stored on that one. Now i should integrate a backup location about 250km away.

I think the best way is to replikat the volume from main -> backup. my link speed is 3.6 MBit/s. Can i do that with the volume replication of open-e? Has anybody tried something like that?

i know hat the initial sync (if it works) can take a long time (maybe a week or something...). But what happend if my WAN-Link goes down for some minutes?
