iSCSI HBA for Open-E SAN?

Hi,

I'm new to the SAN world and was wondering if I needed (or should) purchase iSCSI HBA's for the SAN I'm building? I plan on putting in HBAs in the servers accessing the SAN, but wasn't sure if there is value in putting in HBAs on the SAN, which will be running Open-E DSS (not the lite version).

I don't see the value in any HBA, whether on the target or the initiator. Only if you are working on a modern CPU based system.
