Restore Tape into a Linux

Hi All,
I have a couple of tapes backup in a USB dynamic disk that were created using DSS. Unfourtunelly my raid card crash and I have to restore the system, only think is I have to restore those backups into a LINUX.

I am trying to get information on how to restore the tapes I have in the usb into a linux knoppix machine.

I am desperate!!

I have the same question.
Is there a possibility to "browse" tape files with other tools then DSS without a restore??
