recommendation for 8Gb FC HBA to run in FC target mode?

Hi,

we consider to evaluate Open-E DSS V6 - and I just discovered that V6 supports to run in FC target mode.

Any recommendation for a Fibre Channel HBA which is supported by Open-E to run in FC target mode?

I would recommend Qlogic FC HBA's. We made very good expierences regarding to performance, stability etc.
We used QLE2562.

All of mentioned hardware should be supported in DSS V6 in Initiator and Target mode, they are all based on chipsets that have proper drivers implemented in DSS v6, although we did not performed any tests with IBM OEM FC HBAs.

In case of any problems with IBM OEMs hardwares, we can fix them with remote support session.

Qlogic 4GB and 8GB FC HBA's are supported in Initiator and Target modes and you can assign each port for the same card for both Initiator and Target modes.
