Hi,
Raidcontroller Adaptec 6805
DSS v6 5605
asm_windows_x86_v6_50_18771.exe installed at WinXP
I am unable to conenct to the.
I tried raid/raid root/dsspassword but nothing is working.
Reset of "Setup -> H/W Raid" dos not change anything.
How can i change the default password?
You can reset your password to the default password by going to Console mode, and press
CTRL + ALT + P

Make sure your Firmware on the Adaptec controller is updated also please dont use the build 5605 but update with 5626. The CTRL ALT P will only change the DSS V6 password back to the default "admin" not the RAID controller.
"raid" as username and "raid" as password usually works for me, but recently had a problem with ASM which wouldn't allow configuration (email notification, etc) with the latest-at-the-time (build 5794) DSS v6, though it would allow changing array settings, setting up hot spares, etc. Talk to Open-E about this, but small update 916 worked for me, and allowed me to change the password as a bonus.
