direct connection with storage clients: how to set up the subnets

Hi,

I've set up 2 DSS v6 machines (in trial mode) and want to connect 3 esxi 5.0 machines.
The esxi servers are connected directly with the SAN's (so no switch) since they are 10 gbit interfaces and I don't have a 10GE switch.

so on each SAN I have an eth available for each esxi.
How should I set up my subnets for the storage network an configure failover ?
Do I need a different subnet per esxi/eth or can they all reside in the same subnet ?

And in the failover configuration I can only specify one task. so should I go for broadcast there and list all 3 ESXi servers as ping nodes ?
(because with unicast I can only specify 1 network interface).

Some extra info about the setup.
Can someone tell me how to set up the network for the following situation:

SAN1 and SAN2 both have identical config:
eth0 (gbit): bond0 active-passive, connected to primary switch
eth1 (gbit): bond0 active-passive, connected to secondary switch
=> bond0: management interface

eth2 (10GE): direct connection to other SAN for replication.

eth3 (10GE): connected to ESXi01
eth4 (10GE): connected to ESXi02
eth5 (10GE): connected to ESXi03
=> so 1 direct connection to each ESXi, both from SAN1 and SAN2

Since I don't use a switch (only for the management interfaces), I don't know how to do the setup:
- what interface to use to set up failover
- different subnets or same subnet for eth3/eth4/eth5 ?
- how to set the virtual ip and auxiliary ip's

goal is to have redundant SAN available on each esxi so I can use the vsphere 5.0 HA options.
