Newbie question: in the release notes of upd11 there is language about a new functionality "Extended Log Mechanism". What does that mean in detail? Are there some more verbose release notes available?

Newbie question: in the release notes of upd11 there is language about a new functionality "Extended Log Mechanism". What does that mean in detail? Are there some more verbose release notes available?
The new system gather more logs than in the previous DSS versions which help to diagnose problems if there are any.
