Version 1.37
I see that you've got release notes out now for 1.37 and it's including active/passive multi-pathing for iSCSI but requires a licence key.
Could you elaborate? Does the key cost and if so how much? Is there a way to test this feature ahead of time without using a DoM?
Thanks.

Yes there is a license key for this to activate it as for the cost I do have some general numbers but I cannot disclose them publicly as we are researching this with our distributors. We will be providing a Demo-CD version of this following the public release.

1.37 has not been released for public use. Pricing will be directed by Distributors for the resellers but corporate has not yet finalized the pricing matrix. We will provide a Demo-CD version for this feature without the need for the USB DOM - should be several days after the release.

Hi Todd,
can we get a test key for our two DSS test storages to test the active/passive feature? Our storageservers have no CDROM.

Michael

Just my 5 cents:
definitely a great feature but what makes me sad is that your obviously heading away from the initial "one-off" pricing to the model other storage vendors are after: pay for single features piece and let distributors "evaluate" pricing..
Exactly this behaviour of competitors brought me to Open-E..
