Permanent Iternet connection needed to operate?

Sorry to ask this question again, but it wasn't answerd before:
Does DSS-lite require a permanent online connection to operate, or is the internet connection only needed for one-time activiation?

My impression was that internet connection is needed every time you reboot DSS-lite.
That would make the operation of the DSS depend on
- 24*7 internet connectivity
- 24*7 availability of DSS-lite license checking service
If one or the other were missing, I could be locked out of accessing my files on the storage server.
The operational risk involving my own domain I can gauge and adjust to.
The operational risk of the external domain is implossible to gauge and must therefore be assumed great which would preclude using DSS lite for any data you need back.

DSS LITE does not require a permanent online connection to operate only for registration and activation, registration is only once. We will post this clearly later this week for everyone.
