Mac OS X (Xtend SAN or GlobalSAN) recommended settings?

What are the recommended iSCSI initiator settings for OS X connecting to the open-e iscsi target? We have had one of our customers lock-up hard on an OS X system because they were connecting to the open-e iSCSI target. I've checked online, and it seems to be a problem with the initiator side on OS X, not the target side.

What settings do open-e recommend for either the XtendSAN or GlobalSAN iSCSI initiators on Mac OS X (10.3.x, I believe) for optimum stability?
