iSCSI volume initialization - "waiting"

I've just received 2 x Boston Igloo 24-T units, preloaded with DSS.

I'm trying to setup some iSCSI targets and vloumes for use with VMWare ESX Server.

So far, NAS volumes are fine but all my created iSCSI volumes are listed with "waiting" in the Init column. The only option is to click the button to put the colume to the back of the queue but no option to actually get on with initializing any of the volumes. I figured maybe it takes a while for the unit to "settle" - but its been three days now !! I must be missing something ?

How big is your volumes? 24T? it should not take that long.... Use smaller size for testing....
