How do you set a higher cache for replcation between two boxes. Mine are seperated over a WAN and I ened to ensure that I have more than the default .12gb available in case the link is down

The .0.12 GB for replication is used for storing the metadata, block changes.... not for cache. There is no setting for cache. If connection is lost data that has not been transferred during the lost connection will sync once connection is re-established then the synchronization of the data from the source will continue to destination as it should be.
Great, thanks. Where is this data stored in the meantime, just on the disk with some sort of marker that it hasn't been replicated?
The data is on the Logical Volume that you created i.e. LV000x.
