I have the product belinea b.center version 5.0.DB43000000.3105
and the update wants to bring *.iso the file for n20080828s.147_b3216.dss-bas.generic.iso
in is correct (mountet under Linux)
In the web browser made and the update confirms a Upload.
No update is implemented? Amn't I update-entitled? or I have a wrong update version

The n20080828s.147_b3216.dss-bas.generic.iso is the latest DSS release.
Check to make sure you have a DSS and it should work
Once you load the update to the DSS click on the green check mark
The box has a pair only for days

Belinea was a special build and as we know there might be a possibility to do this but with later release of new DSS due out in mid summer.

A new version has been released a few days ago. I'm wonder if I could install DSS Lite v6 that easy on my Belinea b.center. What would be the best way? Inplace seems not to work...
Because Open-E has build the v5 release for b.center, will there be something similar with v6 which includes the driver? Would be cool if I just could replace the USB stick with another where the new bits are stored...

Best way would be to test with DSS Lite but I would save your settings and configurations and even backup up your data before trying but I think it will work.
Okay, I don't really need the data and config. I could build it completly new... Some questions:
1) Can I just load the data on a USB device? Or does it need an installation? Because I don't have a Graphiccard in my b.center...
2) During this process can something be damaged, or will it be possible to re-create the RAID level later on easy?
3) Do you have access to the drivers which are used for the b.center? I got the hint, open-e has designed the previous installation.

You can download the DSS Lite and test just make sure to remove the other OS and set the USB as the first boot order in the BIOS.

DSS Lite does not have RAID controller support. You could create the raid set and test or have each drive as a single drive and use the sw raid tool in DSS Lite - but you will need to test this.

Thanks a lot for your answers! Just some questions on your inputs, ...
for 1) I need a graphic card. There is no way to preconfigure it and replace the usb key?
for 2) I will recreate the RAID after installing. Do I've to cleanup before, or will it be possible to overwrite the whole config / data from the new installation?
for 3) any chance to get the drivers for the b.center (unsupported, I know)? Maxdata / Belinea does not exist anymore...

You will install the DSS Lite on a USB flash stick 1GB or more. Instructions are available from the notes.

Best is to back up your data then create the RAID set but we dont have support for DSS Lite only on the forums and there is no support for RAID controllers for the DSS Lite. There will be support for DSS Lite soon, most likely later this month or next. You can always upgrade to DSS V6 professional version as well. See link below.

We think the drivers will be in the DSS Lite but no support is for DSS Lite only from the Forum or purchasing support for DSS Lite.
