Snapshot issues
Hi,
While similar to this issue, i have a couple additional problems.
Snapshot was scheduled to run every day at 8am, but when I tried to access the snapshot share, the files were all 6months old.
Coincidentally the snapshot schedule has been set up 6 months ago.
When displaying tasks>snapshots, the snapshot was indeed running for 6+ months with no halt.
I tried to find a work around by setting up a daily snapshot that starts at 8am and finishes at 8pm, which revealed another problem.
All my snapshot starts at 6pm (18) and ends at 6am.
Living in Australia, with a time difference of 10h with Europe, I can only suspect a time issue, but the dss server is set up to the proper timezone (Australia/Melbourne), with ntp adjust set up to ntp.org.
The time displayed in the time setup options is accurate.
Any pointers to what is going wrong?

Please confirm with Open-e software revision number you are running.

Version: 5.0.DB49000000.3292

I went to the web interface>help>about DSS and copied what was there.

I checked and unless this is a special version for you or someone else I don’t see this version. There are 2 versions for 49 build 3277 and build 3278.
-
This is the same build as the latest released Demo CD.

G'day,
Robotbeat is 100% correct.
I can confirm this client is running the current demo version.
Our apologies we didn't make that clear in our original post.
The odd thing about it, is that files created on the DSS get the correct Timestamp, so it really does seem like the Snapshot scheduler ignores the Timezone?

Hi beng,
I also had difficulties with the scheduled snapshots when I ran from the Demo CDs, bu those problems only affected the automatic restart of a snapshot when no end time was given.
The timezone setting never caused problems.
Btw, I am using the new RC of the soon-to -be releases Atlante versionand that really performs incredibly well for us.
Cheers,
budy

Hi Budy!
Where did you get the new RC from as we are also having the same problems with the snapshot issue and some others?
Thanks
