Could be that the download from the Atlanta version of the USB Trial has a file miss match or your usb flash stick has issues and you need to reformat. Run the md5 check with tar file from the download.
Hi Todd,
I have checked several things:
- downloaded 3511 again
- checked MD5 = OK
- tried different USB stick (reformated several times with FAT)
- tried different server hardware
but the problem still exists.

Matthias
Have you tried to rerun the update?
Which update?
I made an new installation from the atlante_3511.tar.gz.

Matthias
can you test this on a different system to see if you get the same error?
Hi Todd,
I have already tried this with different USB Sticks on completely different server systems. The error is message is the same on both systems.

Matthias
I just tried the atlanta_3518 version and got error 16

check you forum email box - I sent you a different location to download. IF this does not work try to set the DSS to 32bit mode.
We also have this error with demo (atlanta_3511.tar.gz) we are supplying to a customer.
If the error can be ignored, then ok, but it doesn't look good!
Cheers

neither different location nor switch to 32bit does resolve this issue.
cheers

Can you send the logs to support@open-e.com so we can look into this.
We are experiencing the same issue with our new SAN we are testing. 3 different thumb drives has not helped. We will try an alternate download location if you would like us to. MD5 checked out and both 32bit and 64bit have this problem.
I am sending you to a different location - please use an FTP program and not from a Web Browser like IE or Firefox. Check your Forum Email.
Much obliged Tom! I'm downloading it now and will get back to you with the results later this afternoon.
Ah that did it Tom! The link you told me to download from loaded with no problem. I saw there was a 3518 release on the FTP with a recent time stamp. Did you guys try a new version that had problems? Thanks either way though. The company I work for is about to purchase 2 DSS licenses in the next two weeks, so this goes a long way to relieving some of their worries!
Can we also have access to that download too please, as we need to ship a unit with demo license today. Cheers.
Diakiao - Thanks for letting me know. I have noticed that sometimes the web does strange things and this is a sure way of getting it to you.
All the 35xx builds are good to go and should be updated.
Silicon - Check your forum email inbox - just posted it for you.
Got that thanks.Quote:
