I have a pair of DSS servers, they are twins. For some reason one of them will not display Server Statistics in Status>Hardware I just get a blank check_sys page.

Does this happen with IE or Firefox. Try to save the logs in the GUI then remove logs in Status > Hardware.
Firefox or IE, one server works fine the other no graphs at all. Tried the save and remove logs, still no stats.
Can you verify the date and time for this server.
I did some checking with this build and if possible try to reboot the system and then test.
Hmm. no window of opportunity for that in the near future. However I do know that this has been a problem for quite some time and it has been rebooted in the past with no improvement.Quote:

G'day,
We just noticed the same thing on a new install of DSS Lite.
The only extra clue I have is I think the Date/time may have been wrong at the start, ie in the first few minutes, until the right TimeZone/NTP were setup. So it may have been active for perhaps 30 minutes before we made the NTP change?
Now I recall that MRTG (which I assume DSS uses) used to have a problem if the dates changed, and generated a "Time warp" error, warning that it had data from the future.
But I can't see any logfile that may help out....
So its a bit of a mystery to us as well....
Cheers Ben
I had the same problem some time ago.Quote:

Unfortunately you loose all the old stats data - so you should do this only if there is no better way..
Yep, ours came back the next day (without deleting the logs). So I do still think it is a "time warp" issue.

Probably the statistic database needs to be cleared. Try to use the "remove" button in Status->Hardware->Server statistic function in WebGUI and after few seconds click on the "apply" button from the same function.
G'day Todd,
Clearing the logs can be pretty inconvenient if the server has been in production for a while.
Is there anything in the logs that we can see that will tell us where the problem is?
ie is there stats log entry?
Rgds Ben
Most of the data is in the test.log the remove button from the server statistics is what I would like for you to try then hit the apply button again but looks like you are not able to do this. You may want to send in the logs to support@open-e.com so we can see what might be going on.
