Web Page Unreachable
Hi,
It's been 2 years in witch my DSS worked excellent.
This weekend however another power surge changed this state.
At this point I can't access the webbased administration tools.
When I try to reach the webpage, the certificate comes up then it halts.
It boots ok,self test ok,shows https available for all on 443.
I tried what it said here before with the changing of the date and removing the certificate from the web browser.Nothing.Rebooted,changed dates of the server also still nothing.
It replies to ping but when accessing the webpage and accepting the security exception of a untrusted certificate,it loads in vain.Doesn't give any error.Tried to load from another computer.Same.
Can anyone please advise?
Thank you and best regards!

Is this with Firefox also was there any IP Address restrictions used?
-
Also what version of DSS?
-
I have a very similar issue (already opened a support ticket and did a post in forum ...) - we tried FF and IE8, all restrictions set to lowest security. On some workstations it's working, on some other not ... I can't figure out the reason ... It's something with SSL ...
I would like to have a KB article how to configure the browsers correctly for open-e ...

ver 5.0.DB46000000.3084 is the version.
You need any more info,Tom?
-
Oh and sorry.I tried with IE 8 and with Mozilla also
-
Additional question: Can we use Port 80 / non SSL for web access too?
-
-
We are working on a generic http as now you cant use the port 80, did you clear all your certificates in the browser? Send the logs to support and one of use can do like a webex and we should be able to get in asap.
-
I did clear all the logs in the browser, yes.
It's bizzare since i can't access that page from any other browser.I would say it's something from the server side not the client side.
Is there any way to reset the webserver?
Please tell me how to get the logs you need to help me solve this problem as the situation is getting desperate...
-
Can you submit a support ticket then enable the Remote support service from the Extended tools in the Console, that way we can remotely fix this or see what is happening.
-
Can you tell me a class from witch you connect and a port number?
-
It is port 65500 that we only need outbound from your DSS and it is using encrypted SSH.

similar issue here, didn't had any kind of power outage and such, box was running fine till now and the iscsi services still are, but the web access is almost inaccessible, i managed once to login to the active node and saw some alerts about high node load - but the passive is having the same issue
any ideas?

What version of the V5 are you running?
-
atm 3518, there is a newer version? where can i fetch it from?
-
should be right in your user portal for your Product and Updates.
-
no, there are only updates up to 3518
-
arrrg sorry, submit a ticket asking for this update and I will get you this. Totally forgot that this is for new installs. And is why we took it off.
