Not sure but but is there other USB devices on the system? Check that the ISO or ZIP file is correct from the md5 file when you downloaded the DSS V6.
MD5 is correct.
Yes there is other USB for the KVM
any suggestion?!!
Just so that I am sure it works as a basic install does it install without a KVM just using the USB directly to the system and does the USB Flash stick boot as well? I want to make sure all that is working before we go into the KVM.
Since i am not in datacenter it's a dedicated server
ISO Kvm work i tested it and work
but not for open-E
please note that open-E work directly from the ISO as a read only
when i choose to install it give the error
so i believe it's install only problem
I have had installations work w/ KVM's in the past but not all are the same.
Do you get anything after POST are you seeing the option to select Software Installer - if so then hit the tab key and add "nousb2" then hit enter and see if that kicks it off without error.
Yes i see all the menus correct
i tried the nousb2 same problem
what model of the motherboard is this for the server?
Supermicro X8SIE/X8SIE-LN4(F)/X8SI6-F
RAID controller adaptec 5405
Nice job Ahmedeg!!!! So everyone will know who did this.
"""Simply remote quite and splash=bla bla bla .. and then log level to 10
and let it boot - you will see usb detect and then usb2
For my case it failed on usb so nousb2 forced him not to do usb2 - and worked""
Yes, Supermicro KVM emulates CD as an USB, just press TAB and remove "nousb2" from boot's parametrs and everything will be ok.Quote:
