Support of VAAI for Open-E DSS V7 ?

Does DSS V7 support VAAI for Vmware ESX 4.1 / 5 ?

If yes what option have we : Block Zero,Full Copy,HW Assisted Locking and Thin Provisionning ?

Support for VAAI in DSS V7 is done, we are just testing it.
But our QA procedure takes several weeks, so we expect release earliest in beginning of
October.

Should we go ahead and turn off VAAI until the feature is supported? Any update on availability?

VAAI is still being tested with our engineers, they are hoping this will be ready before the end of the year and they want to complete some deeper tests before releasing it.

VAAI support is being worked on for this year, this will be reported in updates and news updates from our website once it is ready.

Couldn't find anything regarding VAAI support in V7.

This was on hold for the past 2 Qtrs. and is now back in development, we hope to have it before Q4. Please be patient as we have many projects that is being developed but we hope to finally complete this before Q4.

Guys - is there any update on this? Would I be right in saying this has stalled and all development is going into Jovian? I have clients who are asking about this and looking away from open-e because the functionality promised has not been forthcoming.

We did some development work on this and stopped due to the fact that our engineers found that it is better to impalment this with our newer SCST stack but scheduling for this has been pushed back due to other projects. We are thinking of revisiting this in the summer of this year or have it in our DSS V8 product.
