Demo CD not working
I have downloaded the NAS-XSR demo - File demo_54.20060822.308.b2137.xsr-ent.iso
Prob 1 - If I try to burn the iso to disk on windows I get an error. I can burn it on linux. - is there a problem with this iso ? I get the same result using the demo_18.20060111.180.b1410.nas-ent.iso and demo_10.20060309.300.b1654.xsr-smb.iso Iso's
Prob 2 - Using the burn from linux I boot the server (the same server will boot the iscsi-ent demo cd) it hangs at the Open-e graphic and will not continue from there.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

Demo CD not working
Prob 1:
Please verify the download file size and MD5 check are correct.
For NAS-XSR Enterprise 270.MB.
demo_54.20060822.308.b2137.xsr-ent.iso 270.0 MB
demo_54.20060822.308.b2137.xsr-ent.iso.md5
Try to set the CD burning file system properties to use ISO9660.
Prob 2:
This could be caused by system resources. The necessary hardware requirements are as follows:
- 1 GByte RAM
- CPU ( 2,8 GHz or faster)
- Ethernet card
- IDE Port
Also please review our site for product compatibility listings.

response
I redownloaded the file and while it says its downloading a 270MB file I only get 146MB
I checked the MD5 key and its different.
key for one downloaded is 6decec04537927c562a530981c8f533
The system is a Xeon Dual core, 2Gb Ram, Dual 1Gb Intel Nics, Supermicro MB with IDE and 3ware 9550 16 port SATA Raid
If you can give me a direct link to the download I will try it

Demo CD not working
I will check this out to see if there is an issue and get back to you today on this. Please try again sometimes there might be some routing issues.

Demo CD not working
I wanted to follow up with you on the download issue. I experienced the same problem as well. I would suggest trying again later, as work is being done on the server or there could be a temporary routing problem.

I was able to get it downloaded - Now when it boots I don't get an option to change the network cards. This Motherboard combo worked great for the iscsi cd. I have the supermicro x7dbe-o board with 2 onboard intel gig nics. The hardware display at the console show 2 Intel 631xESB/632xESB DPT Lan Controller Copper Rev (1) nic's
Any Ideas?

Demo CD not working
This will also be updated in our next release from the Supermicro X7DVL-E-O
and the Supermicro X7DVL-E-O motherboard as we are seeing more of these in the market. You are definitely working on all the hits! :)
We appreciate this kind of due diligence.
Thank you!

So should I wait for an updated build?

I would and for other ideas I would contact the North America support line - you will reach a human speaking engineer (770) 881-7680 .

I have download the latest Open-E R3 Enterprise demo cd but it doesn't working properly. Pratically, after that the loader progress line arrives about 80%, a message appears and it say that "The system is corrupted". Which is the problem?
Thank's for your reply

Check that the file size that you have downloaded is the same on our website 202.4 MB
and perform an MD5 check with your cd burner software. Also does the system have 1 GB of memory as this is required.

The Image that i have downloaded is named as "demo_10.n20070220s.410.b2584.nasr3-ent.oe.iso" (187.634 kb) and it is the only one available.
In the case of insufficient memory, the message is "System error. Not enough memory"
Thank you

I've checked the iso with the MD5 file and it is damaged.
