Error on install DSS Lite with Software Installer

Hi togehter,

I try to install the newst version of DSS on my Belinea NAS and ich get following
error after i run the "Software Installer":

ash: 0: unknown operand

and after i'm in a linux shell...

i use "dss6.0up10_b3719.oe_i" and copy the content on a usb stick (4GB) run bootinst.exe

If is start the 32Bit or 64Bit directly its works...

Any help?

I've upgraded my Belinea b.center to DSS v6 by using a new USB Stick:

1) Remove the internal USB Stick
2) Copy the DSS source to the new USB Stick
3) Connect USB Stick with external USB Port of Belinea
4) Start b.center

Because I use the 64-Bit of DSS v6, I had to remove all the old Volumes. Or I could also use the 32-Bit edition.

Note: Because I don't have a graphiccard in my b.center, I used another computer to set the configuration (Architecture, IP).

I use only the USB Stick, you don't have to install it!

Hi,

i also have problems to run the "Software Installer" of the new DSS V6 version.

After booting from CD and select to Software Installer, no HDD or DOM were shown to select for the installation ... only <Reboot> <Shutdown> <Back>
The startup of the 32-bit and 64-bit boot-option works without problems.

I use a Server with a Supermicro MB and 3ware RAID-controller with a separate HDD (to install the DSS V6) and DVD-ROM conected via SATA (there is no IDE Port on the MB)

Is this a problem of the 3719 Version?

A few minutes ago i have downloaded the 3778 RC1 version of DSS V6.

With that version the "Software Installer" shows all drives the server have installed ... :)

Hi Marty

I am having the exact same issue, also with a SuperMicro server and 3ware 9650SE-16ML.
Build 3719 installer shows no disks.....

How/where did you download 3778 RC1 version ?

Update: I have now also been able to test 3778 RC1, and this build detects all raid drives + USB DOM fine, which means that installation is possible.
