If you have two 16TB servers in active-active cluster then each server will have 8TB of active storage and 8TB for mirroring of other server. Together it will be 16TB of active data per two-server cluster.
ok so basically loose a storage server capacity
Of course you will have more available storage space on two separate servers, but failover cluster must use mirroring for storage controllers redundancy, which is its main application.
