We are experiencing a strange issue with our DSS volume (Windows share), if we have a bulk of threads accessing the drive over a UNC path getting file information (directory listings etc) we start to see extremelt slow responses, a folder may take a minute to list. If we access the same share on a second machine over the same UNC path it is very fast as it should be. Is there some limitation to the number of threads we can have accessing the share over a UNC path?
