Sorry to say we haven’t tested with Windows Virtual Servers only VMware and VI.
In that case we will go with Virtual Iron. Are there any compatibility issues between Open-e and VI?
None that we are aware of; if you email me I will send you a certification from one of our Resellers creating the certification.
if it works in virtual iron, it will work the same in virtual server. microsoft invented the VHD and virtual iron re-uses thier innovations.

its more a question of "does virtual server support VHD's stored on ISCSI targets accessed via the microsoft iscsi initiator?" in my opinion, of course.

applications after all, should be agnostic to how you deliver the storage. the day that changes is the day i stop upgrading :)
