Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately I don't have the extra hardware available for two DSS boxes in addition to two MS cluster servers.
I do have one question; will it be possible to use this without a network switch? That is, can each DSS box be connected directly via 10Gb cables to each of the two MS cluster servers? That would eliminate the single point of failure of using a switch.

I knew from some past forum posts that switchless configurations are possible. The linked article only mentions a ESX environment. I'm sorry my question wasn't more specific.
Is switchless configuration in a MS Cluster running MS Hyper-V w/ Persistent Reservation connections possible?

I believe MS has Beacon Probing and is the key point which is a network failover detection mechanism that sends out and listens for beacon probes on all the NICs in the setup and uses this information to determine link failure. Thus the reason that Beacon probing does not need a switch.

Hi Todd!
Is there a release out yet which solves the Persistent Reservation issue?
-
Yep, got a Beta version, sending your way via forum email :)

Sorry to bump an old thread, but has this been released yet? And if so, has it been released for DSS7 also?
-
DSS V7 supports persistent reservations.

Thanks, I am planning on upgrading to DSS7.
