Hi,
Have anyone run successfully Bonding on 3com switch ? I don't know how to setup my switch properly - I constantly get link down problems.
It could be DNS / ReverseDNS problem. I suggest to check how fast it respond (if you have more than one how fast each respond) and if the DSS is available to contact DNS anyway. There is a PING...
If online update work that this could be antyvirus update failure. Can you check if "PING" works correctly in console tools ?
I think it depends on your situation. If you have a lot of data transfer without iSCSI Target in your system the transfer could be doubled. If you additionally configure the replication - you will...
If you enter the online-help (pushing "?" button on any function) and search for failover you will find few points how to configure it.
Yep it is available :D

Try specific options like here:
robocopy "e:\folder" "z:\folder" /COPY:DTASO /E
xcopy "e:\folder" "z:\folder" /O /E
But note that DSS have only POSIX ACLs so some parts will be lost :(
You need to enable cache in the Adaptec controller not in 3ware.
This delay is one of security methods in FTP - it is called Delay engine - and gives you more security if your transfer is transparent for some hacker. I don't know about DSS Lite but DSS have option...
But you can backup files from snapshots like from any other volume by using the build in backup agents.
So configure one big snapshot with start at 6:00 AM and stop at 5:50 AM on Monday.
You can use backula software to restore the data from tape - but tape rescan is needed.
Have you pushed "rescan" button in the Volume Manager ?
Have you try it on other hardware ??
You will have connection reset in such situation - but it should make any harm for the data.
Problem here is Windows - it does not support ReadOnly devices - you need to export RW snapshot LUN for Windows systems. Otherway Linux and Unix - it handles well with RO devices.
I do not agree - if snapshot is gig enough then could be able to run whole week. Just create 7 snapshots and schedule one to be activated in Monday with start for example at 7:00 AM and stop at 6:50...
DSS won't see your actual data - it use LVM partitions and also own filesystem. You need to backup your data before migration.
Volume Manager don't allow to resize LUN if replication is enabled - you need to disable it first and re-enable after resizing (on both systems !).
Use ALT+CTRL+I on console to restore network settings - it will remove your bonding.
I have mean the Adaptec Storage Manager java tool. But if this does not work :/ Maybe this tool does not support your Raid model or something.
Have you set the email notification in Adaptec tools ??
I don't know why it is not possible - iSCSI allow that ! But NTFS will get corrupted when two or more hosts will work on such partition.
Please use such filesystem as :...
It should work but not with standard filesystem like NTFS or FAT. You need special filesystem for SAN based solutions !
Are you shore that this pendrive you checked have only one partition ? There are many pendrives that have 2 partitions (one very small and mostly hidden for windows). It is used for pre-installed...
