i meant the target name, not initiatior
try mabye something like:
iqn.2011-11.dss.target0 or iqn.2011-11.dss:target0 as a name
hi,
imo its better to configure areca to send warning mails directly,
just configure areca with your network settings, define smtp server and such and it will
work independently from dss

im getting lately those error, i belive sr stands for scsi cdrom, but what does it mean? there is no cd in the drive.
2011/08/30 11:38:39 [449203.176224] sr0: scsi-1 drive
other thing, it would be nice to have one apply button for all changes per target instead of resetting connections every single change - yes i know that we can press no when asked but still...

the easiest way would be to take a snapshot from xenserver itself and export it to template
this solution results in a file-based backup of a virtual machine, you can reimport such vm easily via...
better 1 vip per target and the possobility to move target from one box to another, without stopping other targets.
i was asking for this future about an year ago too,
drbd dosnt even need to run in active/active mode,
just whole failover will require 2 vip (one for each box) and heartbeat some tweaks.
it...
i myself wouldnt go with raid10 on all 8 disks, no hotspare, most propably all disks are of the same production series, in worst case with 'just' 2 failing disks you are going to lose all your data

after my vortex was randomly failing harddisks and random kernel panics i did throw it trough the window and got myself another areca
it is just unaccaptable that a enterprise class raid...

it would be nice to have it, hot-configurable in wt and wb modus.
solved - in my case it was a faulty vrrp
no, there are only updates up to 3518
atm 3518, there is a newer version? where can i fetch it from?
similar issue here, didn't had any kind of power outage and such, box was running fine till now and the iscsi services still are, but the web access is almost inaccessible, i managed once to login to...
hi,
i do have the same controller icp5165br (15753)
since it is in my secondary node i cannot tell if the same issue occurs, but in last failover (quick update of primary node) had no issue...
i had to tweak mpio settings to get any increase in performance at all - 4 IOs per path instead of default 1000
bonding between client and dss? what for? mpio does it for me.
for an example: dss with 2x ge ports,
port A with 10.0.0.1/24 connected to switch A
port B with 10.0.1.1/24 connected to switch B...
in my case replication goes trough 2x gbit balance rr bonding
bonding shouldnt impact read performance at all, since only writes are being replicated to the slave, read operations are being...
100MB/s thats low for rr-mpio, im getting around 170-180MB/s read and about 100MB/s write (replication over 1gbit), my setup: xen, 2 gbit switches and 2 dss boxes
open-e dss 3511
same issue here, although didnt try a restart - just went back to 1500, nic does support 9000
im fooling a bit with xenserver, it seems like open-e really dosnt report multiple paths to the target, but there is a little manual workaround
first my device in multipath.conf:
