The cards arrived today and seem to be working.
I installed two 2 port cards so that we have 4 10GBit Ports now:D
In the webfrontend they appear as
Intel Corporation 82599EB 10-Gigabit Network...
Most (probably all) of our failures were on RE2.
The replacement we received from our vendors were RE3.
I think we did`t have to replace a RE3 so far.
