those are simple VM disks given to the VM be the ESX server.
LSI as well as buslogic driver (emulated) won't work, so it seems.

hi, i am trialing VSS6 within a VM on ESX3i
i've chosen linux 64 bit as OS-type and i've given several disks to the VM.
boot up looks fine, but looking at the disks all of them are not supported....
