    Hi To-M,

the delay of having failover is not a problem for me. Better this feature grows at open-e than by me
But, as i only want to use iscsi, is it possible to start with the current dss on the first machine without failover and, after an update to a newer release, activate the failover?

Currently engineers are not recommending this for this version but more research will be done to possibly fix this issue in the following release or an update. Though they are not sure which one.

thats the same we want to do. we started with dss in april and we wait for the failover feature, since then,
we have iscsi volumes on one machine, and we wre told by our seller, taht it would be possible to activate the failover later with no problem.....
    so now what?

We will have a procedure written for the release notes on how to do this. You will be able to keep your source but you will have remove the metadata then restart the replication for the destination server. Please wait for the release notes as we have not written this procedure yet.
