Thread: arcserve restore error

    Default arcserve restore error

We're using CA arcserve r12 with a DSS server. When I try and restore the contents of a NAS share, I receive repeated messages like :

Skip protected directory /shares/aanhalt/shares/aanhalt in /opt/CA/uagent/uagres.cntl

and nothing gets restored. Any ideas on how to fix this ?

That's not an option because we use that software for other systems as well.

I eventually turned off the agent on the dss server for the restore and restored to the share itself. It adds a couple directory levels but that's easy enough to move.

I know your feeling. I did fail int he same mistake, not checking whats supported what is not. I am glad you found a work around.

Its not as good as the real solution, but if you cant downgrade then it should work.
