Thread: Raid 6

    Default Raid 6

    Hello!

    How I can create RAID6?
    I have 10 SATA hdd 750Gb.

Raid BIOS Console (Ctrl+G) allows to create only RAID0, RAID1 or RAID5.

What RAID controller do you have.
Seems like it's not supported in your controller
If your RAID controller does not support RAID 6 try software RAID with the Open-E software.

I have raid BIOS Console activated by Ctrl+G key after POST completed.

If I delete all raid in this RAID console, reboot NAS, and go to the web interface (Open-E NAS-R3), log in with full access, go to SETUP->S/W RAID page, i see warning:

    Warning
    No units found.

How I can create any RAID, if "No units found."

    Sorry for my bad English.

You may need to change the disk to JBOD (just a bunch of disk) in the RAID controller BIOS.
What raid controller are you using?

What version of the NAS-R3 Enteprrise are you running. Latest version is 5_0_up47_build_3200.

Also have you tried using the MegaRaid Storage Manager?
    All the best,
