Thread: check_sys

    Default check_sys

    Hello,

Yesterday I had some very strange and not updating results on my check_sys page (first time I looked at it).

I decided to clear the "server statisics". Since then the check_sys page is completly empty ...

Any advice (besides a reboot) to fix this issue?

    THanks!

A similar thing happened to me a couple of times.. the stats are gone, then I do a clear stats and they start working again, but I loose previous data. Never had to do a reboot to fix it tho.

I've had a similar situation a couple of weeks ago (with the version current at that time) - I didn't opt to clear the stats but was in the lucky position to have a maintenance window coming right up... after the reboot things went smooth again.

To me it looked like the "stats update daemon" (whatever it is that updates the graphics) went down for some reason, and rebooting DSS restarted it. Have you done any (more or less severe) reconfiguration prior to the stop of data collection? Maybe some sort of resource change confused the software...

    Regards,

    Jens

    Thanks for your answer.

No changes have been made to the system. Is there a way to restart that service manually?

You should be able to click apply to restart the statistics services.
it takes a few minutes before you see new data

What version software do you have. (may need to update)
what browser are you using, (firefox works better)

Note that restarting the stats that way will delete all previous stats data.

Tried everything ... waited several days for some output ... but nothing happens.

SUppose that a reboot is necesarry .... It is a pitty that I have to reboot my whole storage node just to get some stats ...
